As the visionary behind MakeItWorthy, Abdoulie Jarju possesses a fervent commitment to igniting impactful change within the community. With a Master of Public Administration, a BA in Political Science, a Minor in Criminal Justice, and a certification in Congress in New Urbanism (CNU-A), Abdoulie is equipped with the essential expertise to effectively engage with the community and drive positive transformation.

Abdoulie’s wealth of experience in leadership, fundraising, outreach, finance, management, and community engagement positions him as a valuable collaborator with other organizations and community leaders to address the needs of underserved populations, promote educational opportunities, and catalyze community development.

At MakeItWorthy, our unwavering dedication to empowering young minds and nurturing their potential is paramount. Our programs focus on providing comprehensive academic support, life skills training, and enriching extracurricular activities that prepare youth for future success. Through strategic partnerships with local schools, businesses, and civic organizations, our goal is to establish a robust support network that enhances the well-being of the entire community.

Joelta Seneh

Joelta Seneh is the  dedicated co-founder of MakeItWorthy, a nonprofit organization devoted to making a positive impact in the world. Her broad expertise in finance, social services, counseling, community engagement, human resources management, and administrative services has been pivotal in driving MakeItWorthy's success.

Joelta's educational background in psychology, criminal justice, and urban planning from the Congress in New Urbanism equips her with a diverse skill set that truly enhances MakeItWorthy’s efforts. She continuously works on developing and implementing innovative programs customized to meet the specific needs of residents, delivering essential support to those within the community.

Through her extensive experience in counseling services and community-building activities, Joelta has left a profound and lasting impact, fostering sustainable change, and improving the lives of many in the community. Her unwavering dedication and unique expertise are the driving force behind MakeItWorthy’s mission, leading the way to a brighter, more equitable future for all.

Karla Danson

Karla is a mother, grandmother, and educational advocate with a strong commitment to ensuring all children have the tools for success. With 12 years of project management experience at the University of Washington, she has led student-focused initiatives, including career development and internships, contributing significantly to their educational journey. Karla's impact extends to her work at the UW College Access department, where she supported students working towards higher education. 

 

She continues to empower students at the YWCA at times by teaching essential computer skills, leveraging her passion for lifelong learning, highlighted by her recent achievement of a BA in Anthropology. Her dedication to education and student empowerment make her an invaluable asset in any educational setting. 

 

Karla's volunteer work as a tutor, mentor, and foster parent underscores her commitment to making a difference in the lives of young people. When not advocating for education, Karla indulges in her passion for international travel, most recently exploring countries like China, Turkey, and Chile, and enjoys participating in activities with her grandchildren.

Deborah Riley

Deborah is an exceptionally diligent individual who finds great fulfillment in serving others with passion and commitment. She has volunteered for the nonprofit organization "Something for Kelly," where she significantly contributed to their mission of making a positive community impact. Her dedication and enthusiasm were evident through her support of the organization’s initiatives and causes.

With valuable experience in planning and coordinating nonprofit events, Deborah excels in meticulous attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and effective stakeholder communication. Her event planning highlights her organizational skills and passion for making a positive difference. Deborah also brings a unique blend of experience from the IT and medical fields. Her roles in the IT industry provided a solid foundation in technological innovations, while her medical background offered insights into healthcare practices and patient care. This combination enables her to approach challenges with a diverse perspective and make informed decisions.

In her personal time, Deborah enjoys exploring different countries. Her adventurous spirit has taken her to several countries across five continents, embracing diverse cultures and experiences. This passion for travel enriches her life with new perspectives. Currently, Deborah is pursuing a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Tarleton State University, underscoring her commitment to making a meaningful difference in others' lives through compassionate and effective counseling practices.

Blessed Seneh

Blessed Seneh is an exceptional individual who radiates empathy and compassion in every aspect of her life. Blessed's passion for self-improvement and professional development has driven her to achieve an impressive academic background. She has a Master of Business Administration degree in Human Resources Management from Texas Women's University and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology from Sam Houston State University. 

 

Blessed found her calling in Human Resources while serving as a specialist in the United States Army Reserve. She devoted herself to achieving excellence in this field and was awarded an Army Commendation Medal for her outstanding service in Kuwait and Iraq. Her desire to help others, especially children, has always been a driving force in her life. With Liberian roots and a passion for traveling to experience new cultures, she is a woman of many talents. 

 

Blessed's exceptional background, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence make her the perfect addition to any organization that values empathy and kindness. Her love for animals is evident in her role as a loving fur parent to Miguel, her 10-year-old dog, which speaks to her caring nature.

Ebrima Dibba

Ebrima Dibba has been a beacon of hope for families in need for more than 20 years. His extensive experience in community services in Seattle, Washington, has earned him the trust of many. He is a trustworthy mentor and advocate for families in need. Ebrima's unwavering passion for assisting those in need is fueled by his lifelong commitment to serving others.

 

Ebrima is a true leader in every sense of the word. He is a multi-talented individual and a former protocol officer at The Gambian Embassy in Saudi Arabia. Ebrima is a passionate representative of The Gambia on a global level and is the proud owner of GamUSA, an airfreight company based in Everett, Washington. Additionally, he is currently pursuing a Management course at Edmonds College and is expected to graduate with his diploma in the upcoming Fall Semester of 2024. Ebrima's remarkable willingness to step up and help those in need is truly admirable.

 

He is an inspiration due to his commitment to mentoring juveniles in various city jails in Washington State, including Seattle, Everett, and Tacoma, and providing valuable resources for successful community integration, serving as a shining example of leadership.

Meet Lizzy Kiley, an exceptional educator passionate about guiding young minds. Originally from Houston, Texas, Lizzy recently brought her wealth of knowledge and experience to Washington from Mississippi, where she made a remarkable impact as a third-grade teacher. With a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University, Lizzy is not only qualified but deeply dedicated to fostering academic growth and nurturing young learners. 

 

Lizzy's enthusiasm for teaching extends beyond the traditional classroom setting. She takes great pleasure in instilling a love for reading and comprehension in her students, igniting their curiosity and guiding them toward success. Lizzy's commitment to volunteer work and her eagerness to make a meaningful difference are truly commendable. Her desire to bridge the educational gap and cater to students' holistic needs is unparalleled. 

 

Lizzy's invaluable expertise and genuine care for her students make her an asset to any educational initiative. Her dedication and passion for shaping young minds truly make her an invaluable addition to any team.
